This antique locket is made of 9ct yellow gold, back and front. Although there are no hallmarks to define its exact age, there are signs of wear and tear, suggesting its an antique of considerable age.
Signs of wear include the front gold plate is coming away from the base metal slightly, the surface has worn thin in places and there are numerous dints to the surface on both sides. This piece certainly has character and could no doubt tell a story or two!
